RETURNS PROTOCOL:
PLANNING CAUSING MORE WORK DURING DELIVERIES AND RETURN PICKUPS. DRIVERS WHO ARE NOT TURNING IN A RETURS SHEET WILL BE REPORTED TO THEIR CARRIER SUPERVISORS.
DRIVERS SHOULD ALWAYS PICK UP RETURNS AT THEIR FINAL STOP UNLESS THEY ARE OUT OF WORKING TIME OR TOLD OTHERWISE FROM THE TRANSPORTATION DESK.
ONLY PICK UP SELLABLE PRODUCT RETURNS (FOOD OR NON-FOOD) FROM STORES IF THEY’RE
CLEARLY MARKED TO BE
RETURNED/TRANSFERRED OR HAVE BEEN TOLD OTHERWISE BY THE TRANSPORTATION DESK.
ONLY PICK UP RETURNS MATERIALS IF THEY ARE CORRECTLY PREPPED BY THE STORE AND SAFE TO TRANSPORT. CARTS AND TROLLEYS SHOULD BE EMPTY AND CLEAR OF ANY PRODUCT OR TRASH. TRAYS, CRATES AND PALLETS SHOULD BE SAFELY STACKED AND/OR WRAPPED IF NECESSARY.
RETURNS SHEETS SHOULD BE FILLED OUT AS ACCURATELY AS POSSIBLE TO WHAT HAS BEEN PICKED UP FROM THE STORE AND SIGNED BY THE DRIVER. THE COMMENTS SECTION ON THE RETURNS SHEET MAY BE USED TO COMMUNICATE THINGS TO THE TRANSPORTATION TEAM. THESE COMMENTS CAN BE ABOUT THE STORE RETURNS THEMSELVES OR ANY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION THE DRIVER MAY HAVE ABOUT THE DELIVERY.
FAILURE TO FILL OUT AND TURN IN A RETURNS SHEET WILL NEGATIVELY AFFECT THE OUTBOUND
